Roc-Drill were engaged by Malaco resources in late 2018 to conducted the blast hole drilling at the Crusader mine in NW Qld.

With 2 x Atlas Copco CL drills mobilised to site in record time the contract began seamlessly.

The 2 x CL drill rigs have out performed all before them with high pen-rates and hole accuracy, fuel savings of 50% compared to other drill options.

Roc-Drill sent a “Start-up team to site” consisting of Management, Health and safety and compliance.

With the onboard GPS systems working flawlessly this brings a new era of technology to this site.

Roc-Drill’s General Manager Stefan Bassi commented the opportunity to work with Malaco Resources on this project further expands Roc-Drills presence in NW Qld.

Being able to service multiple projects from Mount Isa and Cloncurry places Roc-Drill in a competitive space.
